Foundation Agreement

The Summer Foundation obtained some examples of documents for different types of agreements: the agreement offers initial financial benefits of $43 million and land benefits of approximately $150 million in the form of 20,000 hectares. Government and government ministers met by videoconference to sign and celebrate the agreement between the Lake Babine Nation and the federal nation and B.C. Governments have implemented a new reconciliation agreement that envisages a 20-year vision for recognizing and implementing the nation`s rights to Aboriginal self-determination, autonomy and titles. Chief Gordon Alec of Lake Babine Nation, Federal Minister of Aboriginal Crown Relations Carolyn Bennett and B.C. Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation Scott Fraser met by video conference to sign the agreement.
“Guided by the principles of the Declaration on the Rights of Aboriginal People, it is an exciting example of the innovative new agreements B.C is working with First Nations and the federal government,” said B.C. Prime Minister John Horgan in the press release. This result is achieved by specific provisions of the statutes of each company and Unilever PLC, as well as by a series of agreements between the company and Unilever PLC (para. B, the compensation agreement, the mutual agreement agreement and the mutual credit commitment agreement), the so-called foundation agreements. The Lake Babine Nation Foundation Agreement provides a progressive roadmap on how the nation and provincial and federal governments will work together through constructive dialogue on a number of commitments that will create the conditions for negotiating other agreements. The foundation agreement aims to strengthen ties between the nation, governments and industry to increase prosperity for all in the region. The first map shows the territory of the United Republic of Cyprus and the territorial borders of the constituent states after the founding agreement came into force.
